About our flowers

At Tom Flowers, we believe in keeping our product as seasonal and as locally sourced as possible. We source many of our flowers directly from UK growers and farmers. We source dahlias and sweet peas from Sussex, roses from Colchester and sunflowers from Spalding. Every day we hand-pick seasonal garden foliages grown in England to compliment out beautiful flowers. The Tom Flowers house style highlights how classic, English garden flowers can be used in bold, contemporary ways – and on occasion combined with not-so-native blooms, to enchanting effect.

About Tom

Tom’s love affair with flowers goes back for as long as he can remember. As a child, he asked his parents for a small plot of the family garden to make his own. Before long, he was planting window boxes and growing flowers from seed to cut for the house.

Whilst studying, he took a holiday job in a local florist, and quickly realised that this was the only career path for him. He became obsessed with devouring gardening books and old botanical texts, learning floristry techniques and memorising latin plant names – so much so, he became known to his friends as ‘Tom Flowers’.

After gaining almost a decade’s experience at the luxury end of the industry, his work experience culminated at The Real Flower Company, where a passion for beautiful, authentic flowers that don’t cost the earth, was ignited. Tom saw an opportunity to present sustainably sourced and English grown flowers in a relaxed, contemporary fashion, and offer superb customer service to match. In Spring 2011, Tom Flowers was born, and we opened the doors to our first boutique flower shop, in a listed regency building in the charming conservation area of Canonbury.

We are conveniently located to make flower deliveries in The City of London, Shoreditch, Islington and Clerkenwell at short notice, although we do make same day flower deliveries throughout London – please order before noon to guarantee same day delivery.
